          Equivalent Fractions - Equivalent fractions are fractions that are equal.      Say you have a pizza cut into 4 pieces and you eat 2 pieces of the pizza, this example can be written in two different but equal fractions. If you look at the pizza you can describe it as having 1/2 of the pizza. But as you look at the pizza there are 2 pieces left which can be written as 2/4.
