About Me!

    Hello! My name is Troy Larocque! I am a grade 7 teacher at Chief Taylor School. I am from Onion Lake, though I have grown up in Waterhen Lake. 
   
     I have been teaching for 10 years. Eight of those years were spent in Chief Taylor.
   
    I have taught grade 6 for three of those years and grade 7 for five.

    I run the the Pokemon club, guitar club, and have coached the boys volleyball team. 
    
    I am very passionate about my work as a teacher in my reserve. 
    
    I cannot wait to meet and get to know you all!

          Equivalent Fractions - Equivalent fractions are fractions that are equal.      Say you have a pizza cut into 4 pieces and you eat 2 pieces of the pizza, this example can be written in two different but equal fractions. If you look at the pizza you can describe it as having 1/2 of the pizza. But as you look at the pizza there are 2 pieces left which can be written as 2/4.   As you know, we at Chief Taylor School are moving away from the Blog platform to Google Classroom.  I've created this video to help you access Google Classroom, using Google Chrome, with the user name and password the school provided when you picked up your Chromebook.
